Yarn Home provides a 30-Day Return Window (see Return of Non-Defective Products below) and the following limited warranty. This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser.
Please note that any warranty services or questions must be accompanied by the invoice number from the transaction through which the warranted product was purchased. The invoice number serves as your warranty number and must be retained. Yarn Home will offer no warranty service without this number.
Yarn Home warrants this product and its parts against defects in materials or workmanship for 12 months from the original delivery or installation date. During this period, Yarn Home will repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned parts at Yarn Home without charge to you and offer a call out service when a system or product issue arises.
All returns, both during and following the 30-day period, must be affected via the Procedures for Obtaining Warranty Service described below.
Any after-market additions or modifications to any equipment, product or installation will not be warranted. The customer is responsible for the payment, at current rates, for any service or repair outside the scope of this limited warranty.
Yarn Home makes no other warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to the products or plants other than as set forth below. Yarn Home makes no warranty or representation, either express or implied, with respect to any other manufacturer’s product or documentation, its quality, performance, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description.
Except as provided below, Yarn Home is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage that may result from use or inability to use the products or system. Under no circumstances shall Yarn Home be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage exceeding the purchase price of the product or system.
The warranty and remedies set forth below are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.
The above Limited Warranty is subject to the following conditions:
This warranty extends only to products distributed and/or sold by Yarn Home. It is effective only if the products are purchased and operated in South Africa and Africa
This warranty covers only normal use of the products and systems. Yarn Home shall not be liable under this warranty if any damage or defect results from (i) misuse, abuse, neglect, improper shipping or installation; (ii) disasters such as fire, flood, lightning or improper electric current; Fluctuations in pressure or (iii) service or alteration by anyone other than an authorized Water Icon & Yarn Home representative; (iv) damages incurred through irresponsible use, including those resulting from not servicing , neglect , tampering or non-recommended practices.
You must retain your tax invoice or other proof of purchase to receive warranty service.
No warranty extension will be granted for any replacement part(s) furnished to the purchaser in fulfilment of this warranty.
Thirty-day Return Window does not include used or opened products, parts, special order products or systems and shipping and handling fees. There is no warranty on domestic RO tanks after 30 days sold separately or part of systems. Unless the tank is faulty from a manufacturing defect, the only way a tank bladder can burst is by pressure spikes which is out of control.
Return of Non-Defective Products
A non-defective product may be returned to Yarn Home within thirty (30) days of the invoice date for a refund of the original purchase price with the following amendments/fees:
Yarn Home will refund neither the original shipping cost nor the shipping and handling fees incurred from the products return.
No refund will be granted for products which have been opened, used, or tampered with in any way which jeopardize Yarn Home’s ability to remarket or resell the product. Yarn Home maintains full discretion in decisions regarding a products fitness for return.
To return a defective product, please contact our Customer Service Department for guidance. Returns will not be accepted without prior authorisation from the Customer Service Department. Manufacturer restrictions do apply. Any item missing the UPC on the original packaging may not be returned.
Procedures for Obtaining Warranty Service
If repairs are required, the customer must provide proof of purchase. All returned parts must include a letter detailing the problems and a copy of the original proof of purchase.
After One-Year Warranty – Post Warranty Repair
For post warranty repair, the procedure is the same as outlined above for RPA. However, you are responsible for the current price of part(s) used in repair and a labour fee.
Yarn Home does not offer technical support for any products, parts or equipment including installed systems from competitors. Yarn Home accepts no liability for problems caused by after-market system modifications or additions. Yarn Home is not responsible for giving any technical support concerning the installation or integration of any system component the customer did not pay Yarn Home to install. Yarn Home is not responsible for loss of business or time, even with system failure. Yarn Home is not responsible for any loss of work (“down time”) caused by a product requiring service. This warranty is null and void if the defect or malfunction was due to damage resulting from operation not within manufacturer specifications. It will also be null and void if there are indications of misuse and/or abuse. Yarn Home has the option of voiding the warranty if anyone other than a Yarn Home technician attempts to service the product. Yarn Home will not guarantee any problems arising from an act of God (lighting, flooding, tornado, etc.), electrical spikes or surges, or problems arising out of hardware, software, or additional devices added to complement any system/component bought at Yarn Home. Under no circumstances will Yarn Home be responsible for any refund or remuneration exceeding the original purchase price of the product.
Particular items cannot be returned if they are opened. These include water and air filter cartridges. Please send an e-mail to YHsales@watericon co.za/ YHinfo@watericon.co.za if you are unsure. Merchandise that has been used or altered, will not be accepted for return or exchange.
All items are subject to a 10% restocking fee which will be deducted from your refund. We also do not refund the original shipping and handling that customers paid on the order.
If your item is in new condition, you may exchange it for a different product. You will not be subject to a restocking fee in this case, but you still will have to pay return shipping and any difference in price.
